Rankings

Wirtschaftswoche publishes a university ranking every year . The basis for this is a survey of around 500 HR and recruiting managers by the employer branding specialist Universum Communications in cooperation with the recruiting service provider access KellyOCG. Personnel managers are asked which universities and universities of applied sciences are training what they consider to be the best students in the fields of economics, industrial engineering, business informatics, engineering, computer science, natural sciences and law.

In 2009 Wirtschaftswoche published a city ranking for the sixth time. The basis was a study by the New Social Market Economy initiative , in which the 50 most populous cities in Germany were rated according to around 100 economic and structural indicators such as productivity, gross income or investments.

Since 2010, Wirtschaftswoche has been awarding consulting firms in various categories as "Best of Consulting" companies once a year, based on a jury vote and the assessment of an advisory board.

In 2019, Wirtschaftswoche published a ranking of the 26 universities with the most research in the German-speaking area in the field of business administration and the professors with the most research in this area for the first time.

WiWo Green

Since the beginning of 2013, WirtschaftsWoche has been operating WiWo Green, a portal all about the green economy. Under editor-in-chief Miriam Meckel, Wirtschaftswoche refrained from earlier criticism of the EU and the euro and began its own image campaign for the European Union in May 2015. For this purpose, several agencies are to produce advertising films and advertisements for print and online output. In these u. a.
