Amsterdam Tattoo Museum

On November 5, 2011, Schiffmacher opened the Amsterdam Tattoo Museum, the largest museum in the tattoo world. The basis is the presumably unique collection that Schiffmacher has put together over more than thirty years. The collection consists of hundreds of tattoo machines and hand tools, photographs, paintings, drawings, sculptures and even pieces of tattooed human skin. The museum was closed in November 2012 after the landlord filed for bankruptcy. We are currently looking for new premises for the collection.
