Henning Krause
Henning Krause (* 1962 in Bremerhaven ) is a German mathematician who deals with algebra and especially representation theory.
Krause studied mathematics and sociology at the Free University of Berlin from 1981 with a diploma in 1988 and continued his studies in Liverpool and Bielefeld. In 1991 he received his doctorate with Claus Michael Ringel at Bielefeld University (endomorphisms of words in a quiver) . As a post-doctoral student he was in Bielefeld and in 1991/92 at Brandeis University . In 1998 he completed his habilitation in Bielefeld (The spectrum of a module category) and became senior assistant. In 1999 he was visiting professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara . In 2001/02 he worked in a software company in Munich and was a University Research Fellow in Leeds in 2002/03 . In 2003 he became a professor at the University of Paderborn , where he was vice dean for mathematics from 2008 to 2010, and has been a professor in Bielefeld since 2010.
He is a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society (2017). From 2012 to 2015 he was visiting professor at the University of Science and Technology of China in Heifei.
From 2017 to 2020 he is managing editor of Documenta Mathematica with Stefan Teufel and Otmar Venjakob .
