Munich Machine

Munich Machine was a Munich- based German disco project under the direction of producer Giorgio Moroder , which was active from 1976 to 1980. The producers Pete Bellotte, Günther Moll and Gary Unwin as well as the bassist Stefan Wissnet, the guitarist Mats Björklund and the American singer Chris Bennett were also involved.

The greatest success is Get on the Funk Train from the album Munich Machine from 1977. The title placed in the top 50 of the UK charts and reached number 7 on the American Billboard Dance Charts. A cover version of the Procol Harum hit A Whiter Shade of Pale made it into the British Top 50 again in 1978, and it reached number 22 in the Billboard Dance Charts. The corresponding album of the same name made it into the US album -Charts , where it rose to rank 190. The last chart success of this Moroder project was the single Party Light / Let Your Body Shine , a release from the album Body Shine , which reached number 33 on the US dance charts in 1979.
