Henning Schneider

Henning Schneider (born January 3, 1939 in Wittenberge ) is a German gynecologist and university professor.

Life

Schneider visited the Ernestinum Celle . After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen for medicine in the winter semester 1959/60 . With Reza Parwaresch he became active in the Corps Rhenania Tübingen . On May 31, 1960 recipiert he remained until Physikum in Tübingen. He then moved to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . In 1964 he passed the medical state examination in Kiel and was awarded a Dr. med. PhD. He completed his gynecological training at the Dortmund Municipal Hospitals and the Darmstadt Municipal Clinic . In 1968/69 he served as a resident and medical officer in the Bundeswehr. The German Research Foundation granted him a grant for a research stay in Paris . From 1969 to 1976 he was at the Medical Center of the State University of New York in Brooklyn . There he devoted himself to the physiology of the placenta . In 1977 he received the US-American specialty certification as a gynecologist and obstetrician. In 1978 he completed his habilitation at the Philipps University of Marburg and went to the University of Zurich as a private lecturer . In 1987 the University of Bern appointed him to its chair for gynecology and obstetrics. He was also director of the Inselspital women's clinic .
