The Hennstedter Holz is an approx. 1400 hectare forest in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde and Steinburg districts in Schleswig-Holstein .

The forest area is located between the villages of Aukrug , Meezen and Hennstedt . The Meezen settlement of Waldhütten, the specialist clinic Aukrug , the Tönsheider Forest nature reserve and the Wiedenborstel estate are located in Hennstedter Holz . The highest point in the Steinburg district, the Itzespitze, is located on the southwestern edge .
