Henri Charles Bekking

Henri Charles Bekking (born February 24, 1850 in Purworejo , Java , Dutch East Indies , † August 7, 1904 in Utrecht , Netherlands ) was a Dutch photographer .

Life

Bekking, son of Henri Charles Bekking (1818–1866) and his wife Henriette Adriene Frederique Le Clercq (* 1822), attended the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1870 to 1873, coming from The Hague . There he was a student in the elementary class of Andreas Müller and Heinrich Lauenstein . In the school year 1872/1873 he was “because of persistent indolence u. constant absence ”. From 1878 he worked as a portrait photographer in Delft (1878), Apeldoorn (1878), Den Helder (1878), Amsterdam (1879) and Amersfoort (1879/1880). In the many places where he lived after 1880, he was no longer registered as a photographer.
