Henri Joseph Marius Piérard AA (born June 21, 1893 in Felenne , † March 5, 1975 in Leuven ) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Beni .

Life

Henri Joseph Marius Piérard joined the Order of Assumptionists and was ordained a priest on July 26, 1925 . Pius XI. appointed him on June 22, 1934 superior of Beni . With the elevation to the Apostolic Vicariate on June 14, 1938 he was appointed Apostolic Vicar of Beni and Titular Bishop of Andropolis .

The Apostolic Delegate in the Belgian Congo , Giovanni Battista Dellepiane , donated him episcopal consecration on November 21 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Camille Verfaillie SCI , Vicar Apostolic of Stanley Falls , and Alphonse Joseph Matthijsen MAfr , Vicar Apostolic of Lac Albert .

With the elevation to the diocese on November 10, 1959, he was appointed Bishop of Beni. Following the resignation as bishop on May 17, 1966, appointed him Pope to titular bishop of Molicunza . He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council . On April 27, 1973 he renounced his titular bishop's seat in the course of the new allocation guidelines of the Roman Curia.
