Henri Léonard MAfr (born December 5, 1869 in Œutrange , France , † May 15, 1953 ) was a French Roman Catholic religious chaplain and Apostolic Vicar of Tabora .

Life

Henri Léonard joined the religious order of the White Fathers in and received on 2 July 1895, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 26, 1912 appointed him Pope Pius X to the titular bishop of Tipasa in Mauretania and Koadjutorvikar of Unianyembé. One day later, Léonard was appointed Vicar Apostolic of Unianyembé (later: Tabora), succeeding the late François Gerboin MAfr. The Superior General of the White Fathers, Bishop Léon-Antoine-Augustin-Siméon Livinhac MAfr, gave him episcopal ordination on August 10 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Vicar Apostolic of Upper Congo , Victor Roelens MAfr, and the Apostolic Vicar Emeritus of Nyassa , Joseph-Marie-Stanislas Dupont MAfr.

Henri Léonard resigned as Vicar Apostolic of Tabora on July 23, 1928.
