Henri Seroka

Henri Seroka (born May 9, 1949 in Anderlecht ) is a Belgian composer of Polish descent. He is married and has a son.

Life

Seroka was born in Belgium to a Polish father and a German mother. He lives in Brussels , which is also where his private recording studio is located.

Seroka's career began in the late 1960s. As a singer he appeared on the stages in Belgium, France , Poland, Germany (also GDR ), USA, Japan and USSR . Composition has been his greatest passion for many years (serious and pop music).

He was a frequent guest on numerous television and radio programs in Poland, Belgium and France. In addition to his work as a singer, he has now also worked as an author for other artists, including Ivan Rebroff , Betty Dorsey , Lulu , Jean-Pierre Cassel , Dorothée , Roland Kaiser , Gunter Gabriel . Seroka also composed children's music (The Smurfs) .

In 1984 he got the gold plate for the composition Avanti la Vie in the competition of the Eurovision Song Contest . For the Olympic Games in Los Angeles (1984) he composed some pieces of music as part of the European Theme Representation , which earned him the second gold record.

The Polish director Jacek Bromski had Seroka composed the music for a number of his feature films. His main international films are Alice , Ataturk and The Art of Love .

For the Polish comedy TV series "In God´s Little Garden", Henri Seroka and director Jacek Bromski received three awards at the 42nd International Film Festival 2009 in Houston / USA : "Special Award" from the jury, "Grand Prix "in the category" Best Foreign Film "(best foreign language film) and the" Gold Remi Award "for the best film music.
