from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Henri Tallourd (also Henry Tallourd or Henry Talhour , * around 1916; † in August 2006 ) was a French jazz and entertainment musician ( trombone , vocals , composition ).

Tallourd played for ten years since 1946 with Jacques Hélian , with whom 1952 recordings for Pathé were made ("Titine"). With Hélian he also acted as a singer, as in "Tout est tranquille" and the humorous number "Je te-le-le" in a duo with the singer Claude Evelyne. From 1956 he was one of the Les Blue Stars ; he also took part in recordings with Raymond Fonsèque's trombone ensemble . In the 1960s he released a number of EPs and singles under his own name ( Henry Talhour avec James Award et son Orchester ) such as Tes Tendres Années, Dis Lui, Marche Tout Droit and Madison Riff , stylistically somewhere between Easy Listening , Pop, Chanson and light jazz. With Paul Winchell he wrote the song "Shun Gon, le chat chinois". In the 1960s and 1970s Tallourd worked in Pierre Perret's orchestra before joining Benny Vasseur as accompanist for the singer Annie Cordy . In 1971 he was involved as a singer on Bernard Lubat's album Lubat and His Mad Ducks .
