Henriette Schroeder

Henriette Schroeder (* 1961 in Bonn ) is a German translator , journalist , documentary filmmaker and author .

Live and act

Henriette Schroeder studied American cultural history , art history and psychology in Munich as well as Jewish studies at the American University in Washington, DC She also attended the German journalism school in Munich. From 1999 to 2002 Schroeder worked in the Media Affairs department of the OSCE in Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina .

In her work, she mostly deals with contemporary history as well as with Central European and Jewish history and tradition.

Her 2014 book A Touch of Lipstick for Dignity: Femininity in Times of Great Need received international attention.

Henriette Schroeder lives in Vienna today.
