Henriette Schrott-Pelzel
Henriette Schrott-Pelzel (married name: Henriette Pelzel von Staffalo , also: Henriette Schrott-Pelzel von Staffalo , * July 24, 1877 in Innsbruck as Henriette Schrott ; † February 10, 1962 in Meran - Obermais ) was an Austrian writer .
Life
Henriette Schrott-Pelzel was the daughter of the Tyrolean insurance agent , property owner and tourism pioneer Alois Schrott. In 1886 he acquired Vorst Castle in Lagundo near Meran , where he housed his art and antiques collections. The daughter grew up in this castle and another property of her father, the castle Freudenstein near Eppan , and received formative impressions of the Tyrolean nature and the rural life of the region. From 1891 Henriette Schrott-Pelzel attended the school of the St. Ursula Convent in Innsbruck for four years . A subsequent serious, protracted illness meant that after her father's death in 1902 she alternated between the "Grand Hotel Penegal " built by Alois Schrott near Kaltern and Plankenstein Castle near Merano. In 1912 she married the Austrian officer Franz Ritter von Pelzel-Staffalo, with whom she lived in Innichen in the Puster Valley .
Henriette Schrott-Pelzel was the author of popular novels , short stories and poems ; her work can be assigned to the Tyrolean homeland literature.
