Henry "Booker T." Glass
Henry "Booker T." Glass (born August 10, 1888 in New Orleans , † July 19, 1981 ) was an American musician ( bass drum ) of hot jazz .

"Booker T." Glass was a student of Edward Gaspard and began his career in brass bands in 1908 ; In 1918/19 he was a member of the Camelia Orchestra and the Camelia Brass Band , both of which were led by Wooden Joe Nicholas . He then played with various brass bands in the city, such as Harold Dejan's Olympia Brass Band , the Eureka Brass Band , Kid Howard and the Tuxedo Brass Band , as well as in dance orchestras until he died at the age of 92. He participated in 15 recording sessions between 1960 and 1971. His son Nowell "Papa" Glass (1927-2001) was also a bass drummer.
