Career
Henry Fuller received a good education. In 1839 he graduated from Princeton College . After a subsequent law degree and his admission as a lawyer in 1842, he began to work in this profession in Wilkes-Barre . At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Whig Party . He was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1848 and 1849 .
In the congressional election of 1850 Fuller was elected to the Eleventh constituency of Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , where he succeeded John Brisbin on March 4, 1851 . Since he was not confirmed in 1852, he was initially only able to complete one legislative period in Congress until March 3, 1853 . In 1854, Fuller was re-elected to Congress as a candidate for the short-lived Opposition Party in the twelfth district of his state, where he was able to spend another legislative period between March 4, 1855 and March 3, 1857. This time was determined by the events leading up to the civil war .
In 1856, Henry Fuller renounced another congressional candidacy. After his time in the US House of Representatives, he practiced as a lawyer again. He died in Philadelphia on December 26, 1860.
