Henryk Przeździecki

Henryk Przeździecki (born February 20, 1909 in Warsaw , † November 1, 1977 there ) was a Polish athlete .

Career

National

Henryk Przeździecki was active as an ice hockey goalkeeper from 1931 to 1936 and from 1945 to 1952 for the ice hockey department of Legia Warsaw and between 1937 and 1939 for the city neighbor AZS Warsaw . With Legia he won the Polish championship title in 1933 and 1951 .

He was also successful in football , where he played as a midfielder. He first played for Hurricane Warsaw before he played for KP Legia Warsaw from 1926 to 1938 . In the course of the attack on Poland he was taken prisoner by Germany . He spent this in Stalag II B in Hammerstein - Schlochau and in Oflag II A in Prenzlau . After the Second World War , he worked as an ice hockey coach for Legia Warsaw and the Polish national team, among others.

International

For the Polish National Hockey Przezdziecki participated in the Winter Olympics in 1936 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and in 1948 in St. Moritz and at the World Cup in 1937 in part. In total, he played 49 international matches.

For the Polish national football team , he played his only international match on September 15, 1935 in Łódź in a 3: 3 match against the Latvian national team .
