Herb Lindsay

Herb Lindsay (born November 12, 1954 ) is a retired American long-distance runner .

In 1979 he won silver over 5000 m at the Pan American Games in San Juan , was US champion in the 10 km road race and won the Corrida Internacional de São Silvestre .

In 1981 he finished second in the Gasparilla Distance Classic and won the River Bank Run and the Maple Leaf Half Marathon. The following year he came in 69th place at the World Cross Country Championships in Rome and came fourth at the Crescent City Classic .

In 1984 he won the Bolder Boulder .

Herb Lindsay is now a physical education teacher in Michigan .
