Extraliga (Slovakia, chess) 2012/13

The Extraliga 2012/13 was the 21st season of the Slovak Extraliga in chess .

Participating teams and mode

With 7 Statočných Košice , ŠK Slovan Bratislava , ŠK PK Trenčín , TJ INBEST Dunajov , TJ Slávia CAISSA Čadca , ŠK Dunajská Streda , ŠK Magic Liptov , ŠK Doprastav Bratislava , ŠK Modra and the ŠKŠ Dubnica the first ten of the Extraliga 2011 / 12 , and ŠO TJ Slávia Košice and NŠK Nitra were promoted from the 1st league. The twelve teams played a simple round-robin tournament on eight boards.The number of team points (three points for a win, one point for a draw, no point for a defeat), then the number of board points (one point for a Winning game, half a point for a draw game, no point for a losing game). The last two were relegated and replaced by the winners of both seasons of the 1st league.

Events

The competitions took place on October 27 and 28, November 24 and 25, 2012, January 19 and 20, February 9 and 10, and March 1, 2 and 3, 2013.

Season course

The ŠK Slovan Bratislava and the ŠK Dunajská Streda fought a duel for the title. In the eighth round, Bratislava was able to break away by three points and maintained its lead until the end. The NŠK Nitra was determined prematurely as relegated, the decision on the second relegated was made in the last round in a direct comparison between the ŠK Modra and ŠO TJ Slávia Košice against Modra.
