Herbert "Hebi" Baumann (born September 16, 1964 ) is a former Swiss football player and today's coach .
Career as a player

Herbert Baumann spent his junior years at FC Littau and FC Emmenbrücke.
After two years in the 1st team of FC Littau in the 2nd division (then 4th division), he moved to FC Luzern in the then National League A in the summer of 1984 . The trained offensive player was successfully retrained as a full-back by his coach at the FC Luzern Friedel Rausch . Between 1984 and 1998 he played his entire professional career for the first team of FC Luzern, where he won the Swiss championship in the 1988/89 season and the Swiss Cup in the 1992 cup final against FC Lugano .
In the summer of 1998 he ended his career after 372 championship games and nine goals for FC Luzern.
National team
Baumann made 15 international matches for the Swiss national team between 1989 and 1991 .
Career as a coach
After retiring as a football player, he coached FC Küssnacht (player-coach), FC Luzern U-17, SC Cham, FC Littau (player-coach), SC Kriens (assistant coach) and FC Eschenbach from summer 1998.
In 2010 he made it to the 2nd interregional league with FC Eschenbach and won the Central Switzerland Cup in 2010, so FC Eschenbach qualified for the 1st main round of the Swiss Cup 2010/11 .
From July 2012 he was the coach of FC Willisau, where he was promoted to the 2nd interregional league twice . Baumann was released from FC Willisau on April 19, 2016.
In October 2017 Baumann took over the coaching job at FC Hochdorf in the 2nd interregional league .
