Herbert Denicolò

Herbert Georg Denicolò (born October 9, 1945 in Bruneck ; † April 23, 2018 in Olang ) was a German-speaking Italian politician from South Tyrol .

biography

Denicolò grew up in Schluderns and initially worked as a teacher in Mals . Since 1972 he was an official in the South Tyrolean provincial administration. In 1993, as a representative of the workers' wing of the South Tyrolean People's Party, he was able to win a mandate for the state parliament and thus at the same time for the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol , of which he was a member until 2008. In the years 2004–2006 he served as Vice President of the Regional Council.

Denicolò, who lives in Olang , does voluntary work in the social, cultural and catholic fields. Among other things, he was a member of the regional management of the Catholic Association of Working People , Chairman of the South Tyrolean Kolping Society and Chairman of the Catholic Forum , an umbrella organization of church associations and associations.

In 2015 Denicolò was awarded the Tyrolean Cross of Merit.
