Herbert Dirmoser

Herbert Dirmoser ( April 12, 1896 in Vienna - January 23, 1978 in Erfurt ) was an Austrian film and theater actor .

Live and act

Dirmoser had played on German theaters for many years, both in the provinces (e.g. in Wiesbaden and Marburg ) and in the Theater des Volkes in Berlin . In 1926 he played the debt servant in Jedermann at the Salzburg Festival . In 1938 and 1939 he played Winnetou on the Rathen rock stage .

From 1940 to 1944 Dirmoser was a member of the Dresden State Theater , from 1946 to 1955 he worked in Magdeburg , then at the Erfurt Municipal Theaters .

In 1937 he worked alongside Luis Trenker and Heidemarie Hatheyer in the cult film Der Berg ruft . In the 1950s and 1960s he played in various DEFA feature films: among other things, he played Professor Soltau in the film Weißes Blut (director: Gottfried Kolditz ) in 1959 and the Old Raven in the GDR Indian film The Sons of the Great Bear in 1966 .
