Herbert Grigers

Herbert Grigers (born February 25, 1928 in Gleiwitz , Upper Silesia , † May 22, 1983 in Berlin ) was a German SPD politician and a member of the supervisory board of GeSoBau .

Herbert Grigers was a building city councilor in Berlin-Charlottenburg . Afterwards he was district mayor of Reinickendorf from 1970 to 1981 . During this time he promoted partnership contacts to Greenwich ( Great Britain ), Antony ( France ) and the Israeli city of Kirjat Ata . During his tenure, the expansion of the Märkisches Viertel was driven forward, the motorway through Reinickendorf to Heiligensee was built and the decision for the International Building Exhibition at the Tegeler Hafen was made. He promoted the expansion of the phosphate elimination plant on Tegeler See in order to keep the river from tipping over and to secure it as a drinking water reserve.
