Herbert Kapplmüller
Herbert Kapplmüller (* 1941 in Linz ) is an Austrian costume and set designer .
Life
Kapplmüller completed a German studies course in Salzburg and Vienna . At the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna he studied sculpture with Joannis Avramidis , painting with Gustav Hessing and set design with Lois Egg.
In addition to his professorships and lecturing activities for the Mozarteum Salzburg , the University of Vienna and the University of Television and Film Munich , Kapplmüller designs costumes and sets for national and international festivals, theaters and opera houses, as well as films.
He is married to the music dramaturge and director Lisa Stumpfögger and lives in Munich and Berlin.
