Herbert Kesel (born November 3, 1931 in Mannheim ; † December 15, 2011 in Saarbrücken ) was a German rower who competed for the Saarland .
biography
Herbert Kesel was a member of the Saarland delegation at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki . Together with Klaus Hahn he started in two without a helmsman . In the semifinals, the duo had a comfortable lead over the boats from Poland and the United States. However, Hahn collapsed and could no longer row and the duo were eliminated as a result. The following year, the couple came second at the German Championships.
