Herbie Harper
Herbert "Herbie" Harper (* 2. July 1920 in Salina , Kansas ; † 21st January 2012 ) was an American jazz - trombone .
Herbie Harper played with Gene Krupa , Benny Goodman , Charlie Barnet and from 1947 as a studio musician in Los Angeles . There he also led his own ensemble at times. During his career, Harper made records with Ray Brown , Maynard Ferguson , Bob Florence , Fred Katz and Pete Rugolo and accompanied Billie Holiday .
