Herkheim is a district of Nördlingen in the Swabian district of Donau-Ries in Bavaria .

geography

The village has 370 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011) and lies at an altitude of 452  m above sea level. NN on the edge of the Nördlinger Ries .

history

Herkheim is a mixed denominational church village . The name goes back to the home of Franconian Hericho or Herich according to a document from 1140.

On July 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Nördlingen.

Culture

The parish church of St. Anna, whose construction is dated to the year 1420, is characteristic of the village .
