Hermann-Dieter Bellut (born May 4, 1943 in Lingen) is a former German football player . At Eintracht Frankfurt , Bellut played 47 league games with three goals in the Bundesliga between 1967 and 1969 .

Career

Bellut began his career at SV Holthausen / Biene and SV Meppen . For the 1966/67 season , the midfielder moved to VfL Wolfsburg in the second-rate Regionalliga Nord . Under coach Imre Farkaszinski he made his debut on August 14, 1966, a 6-3 away win at Bremer SV, in the Regionalliga. Attack colleague Manfred Wuttich scored four goals against BSV. Bellut played mainly as a center forward in Wolfsburg, although he did not appear as a scorer alongside teammates like Dieter Thun , Ernst Saalfrank and Fredi Rotermund . This role was played by Wuttich with 17 and Rotermund with 13 hits. At the end of the round, he finished 4th with VfL and had played all 32 league games (2 goals). He received an offer from Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga for the 1967/68 season and moved to Main.

Under coach Elek Schwartz , the newcomer from Wolfsburg made his Bundesliga debut on August 19, 1967, a 4-0 away defeat at VfB Stuttgart. The former Benfica Lisbon coach Schwartz favored the 4-2-4 system and Bellut played alongside Istvan Sztani in Eintracht midfield in Stuttgart . For the team from Riederwald things didn't go well in the first half of the season, with 14:20 points they said goodbye to the Christmas break. In addition to Bellut, Eintracht had also strengthened with goalkeeper Hans Tilkowski , returnees Friedel Lutz and the young offensive player Bernd Hölzenbein . In the second half of the season Frankfurt improved to 6th place with 38:30 points and Bellut had played six games. In addition to the Bundesliga, Bellut also had a share in the Alpine Cup, Messepokal (Nottingham Forest) and the DFB Cup on January 27, 1968 in a 2-1 away win after extra time against FC Schweinfurt 05. The jump from the Regionalliga Nord into the single-track Bundesliga had proven difficult.

In his second year, 1968/69, he belonged to the regular line-up of Eintracht Frankfurt under the new coach Erich Ribbeck with 27 league appearances and three goals. In this round he gained international experience in the trade fair city cup in the games against Wacker Innsbruck, Juventus Turin and Atletico Bilbao and also took part in a trip to Mexico with Eintracht in December 1968. On February 4, 1969, the Adlerträger defeated Borussia Dortmund 6-2 in the DFB Cup and Bellut stood out as a three-time goalscorer. With the game on May 3, 1970 at Hamburger SV (1: 5), he ended his time at Eintracht Frankfurt after three years with 47 Bundesliga appearances (3 goals).

For the 1970/71 season he joined the SC Opel Rüsselsheim in the second-rate Regionalliga Süd . There he came to the side of teammates such as Hans-Jürgen Oehlenschläger , Friedel Späth , Manfred Lucas , Peter Rübenach , Herbert Dörenberg and Gerhard Bopp to 33 appearances in the Regionalliga in which he scored two goals. In 1972 Bellut rose with Rüsselsheim from the Regionalliga Süd and ended his higher-class career.
