Manfred Lucas (born June 1, 1943 in Kiel ) is a German politician ( SPD ), former district administrator and former member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

biography

After graduating from secondary school in 1957, Lucas did an apprenticeship as a miner . In 1961 he joined the police in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia . In 1972 he passed the exam there as a graduate in administration . He lives in the Kreuzau community .

Political career

Lucas has been a member of the SPD since 1966. He held various functions. He was a member of the SPD state committee and he was also the deputy sub-district chairman in the Düren district and chairman of the local association in the Kreuzau community. After he was a member of the city ​​council in Düren from 1972 to 1976 , he was parliamentary group chairman in the Kreuzau municipal council from 1979 to 1994 . From 1994 to 1999 he was the last honorary district administrator. He has been a member of the district council in the Düren district since 1994 .

From May 31, 1990 to May 31, 1995 and from October 29, 1998 to June 1, 2000 he was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament .
