Josef Hilgers (politician)

Josef Hilgers (born October 26, 1910 in Rheydt ; † January 21, 1955 in Weisweiler ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( center and CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Hilgers completed an apprenticeship as a plumber . He then worked as a plumber and electrician . From 1926 he was a member of a trade union and from 1929 to 1933 a member of the center. Hilgers was married and had two children.

From July 5, 1950 to July 4, 1954, Hilgers was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in the 007 Düren constituency.

He was a member of the district assembly of the Düren district from October 25, 1946 until his death on January 21, 1955. From November 4, 1948 until May 8, 1954, he was district administrator of the district. He resigned from this office for health reasons. From 1946 to 1948 he was mayor of Weisweiler and from 1948 a member of the official representation of the office of Langerwehe .

Hilgers, he was active in various committees of the district assembly of North Rhine-Westphalia , in particular on the board.
