Anton Germscheid

Anton Germscheid (born March 3, 1885 in Cologne , † November 9, 1971 in Düren ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school and training as a commercial teacher, he was initially the school director, before taking over a private business school in 1924. Until 1968, he headed the private business school, the 1952 state-approved trade school was. From 1953 to 1963 Anton Germscheid was chairman of the CDU district association in Düren.

Germscheid was married and had one child.

He was a member of the district assembly of the Düren district from November 4, 1948 to October 16, 1964.

Public offices

From May 11, 1960 to October 16, 1964 he was district administrator for the district of Düren.

Germscheid was active in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia .

On November 21, 1963 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class.

The building of his business school (corner of Moltkestraße / Marienstraße ) is now used by the grammar school at Wirteltor Düren as an auxiliary building for the secondary level II under the name "Haus Germscheid" .
