Hermann Dold (politician)

Hermann Karl Dold (born February 22, 1892 in Tuttlingen , † May 23, 1953 in Heidelberg ) was a German economist , entrepreneur and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Hermann Dold was born as the son of master baker Karl Dold. After attending the Latin school and the Progymnasium in Tuttlingen, he completed a commercial apprenticeship in 1910. He took part in World War I as a soldier since the beginning of the war and was retired in 1915 after being seriously injured. From 1917 to 1920 he studied economics at the universities in Munich and Tübingen . In 1920 he was at the University of Tubingen to Dr. rer. pole. Doctorate with a typewritten thesis on the surgical instrument industry in Tuttlingen.

Dold was municipal councilor in Tuttlingen from 1919 to 1933 , from 1919 to 1928 for the SPD, from 1928 to 1932 for the Catholic voters' association and from 1932 to 1933 for the "civil professions". During the National Socialist era , he was a member of the National Socialist Motor Vehicle Corps , the German Labor Front , the National Socialist People's Welfare , the National Socialist War Victims Care and the Reich Colonial Association . In March 1948 he was classified as "unencumbered" by the judicial chamber of the state commissioner for political cleansing in Württemberg-Hohenzollern .

Dold was a manufacturer and sole owner of the Süddeutsche Numberierwerkefabrik Dr. Hermann Dold , later Dr. Hermann Dold Numerierwerkefabrik GmbH & Co. KG in Tuttlingen. In 1946 he participated in the founding of the CDU city and district association of Tuttlingen and was then again a member of the municipal council until 1953. From 1946 to 1947 he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly and 1947-1952 member of the Landtag of Württemberg-Hohenzollern . He was then elected to the constitutional state assembly for Baden-Württemberg , of which he belonged until his death. Paul Binder moved up for him in parliament.

Hermann Dold was initially married to Anna Regina Dold, born Barho (1893–1925). The first marriage resulted in two daughters, Rotraud Gisela Schlotzhauer née Dold (* 1923) and Irmgard Dietlinde Dold (1925–1967). He later married her sister Emilie Rosina Dold nee Barho (1905–1929). From the second marriage, the son Wolfgang Dietrich, called Wolf-Dieter Dold (1928–1979) emerged.
