Hermann Franzius

Hermann Nikolaus Franzius (born September 24, 1831 in Jemgum ; † September 1911 in Döhren (Hanover) ) was a Prussian administrative officer.

Life

Hermann Franzius studied at the University of Göttingen and the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg Law . In 1852 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . In the same year he also joined the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After his legal clerkship, he was assessor at various Prussian and Hanoverian offices and courts. Last Amtshauptmann in the east , he was in 1880 District Chief of the district Osterholz and with the introduction of district regulations for the province Hanover, 6. 5. 1884 on April 1, 1885 District Administrator of the newly structured district Osterholz. He held the office until his retirement in 1902.

In 1891 Franzius was appointed a secret councilor. In retirement he lived in Döhren near Hanover.
