Hermann Gross (also: Hermann Gross ; * February 18, 1875 in Diez ; † 1929 or later) was a German civil servant , economist and president of the Chamber of Agriculture for the Province of Hanover .

Life

Hermann Gross came maternal an old Frankish farmers - Gender and was during the early days of the German Empire in the Diez Lahn born. After many years of farming practice and studying agriculture , he devoted himself from the beginning to agricultural administration, worked for several years as a volunteer and as an assistant and then followed an appointment to East Friesland in the city of Norden , where he - still a young man - took the post took over as general secretary of the local main agricultural association. He quickly found himself in the "[...] economically not easy situation" of the country, which was then described as " peculiar " and, after organizational success, was awarded the title of Royal Economic Council.

Hermann Gross left East Frisia for Hanover in 1924 due to his appointment as director of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Province of Hanover as the successor to Peter Johannssen . But in 1926 the estates of the Principality of East Friesland honored him with the award of "East Frisian Indigenous Rights ".

On August 1, 1927, the highest civil servant in Hanoverian agriculture, whose character traits were outlined with "[...] a sense of duty and indefatigability, indefatigability and tenacious labor", celebrated his 25th anniversary in the service.
