Hermann Huebner

Hermann Hübner (* 22. October 1953 in Buchhof ) is a German local politician ( CSU ) and was from 1 May 2008 to 30 April 2020 District Administrator of the district Bayreuth .

Hübner grew up on a farm in the municipality of Bindlach . After graduating from high school and two years of military service in Bayreuth from 1974 to 1976, he trained as a banker . He then completed a degree in administrative management (FH) . From 1982 to 1994, Hübner was a personal assistant to the Bayreuth District Administrator Klaus-Günther Dietel.

Political career

From 1994 to 2008 Hübner was the 1st mayor of the Bindlach community. Before that, he had been a councilor and parliamentary group chairman of the CSU since 1990 . Since 2000 he was also a member of the Bayreuth district council . In the local elections on March 2, 2008 , the new Bayreuth District Administrator was elected with 58.9 percent of the vote and thus the successor to Klaus-Günther Dietel, who had been District Administrator since 1978. In the 2014 local elections , he was confirmed in office with 67.6 percent of the vote.

He has numerous municipal functions. Among other things, he is chairman of the committee for finance and savings bank issues at the Bavarian district council , chairman of the supervisory board of the Bayreuth hospital , chairman of the board of directors of Sparkasse Bayreuth , board member of the Upper Franconian savings bank district association and chairman of several associations and special-purpose associations.

Private

Hübner is married and has four children.
