Hermann Haider

Hermann Haider (* 1938 in Linz ) is an Austrian painter and graphic artist .

Live and act

Haider grew up in Ufer near Ebelsberg and completed an apprenticeship as a typesetter.

In 1955 he was a founding member of the Mühlviertel artists' guild . From 1954 to 1960 he studied at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz in the master class for painting and graphics with Herbert Dimmel .

The artist has been working in Steyregg ( Pulgarn ) since the 1950s , where he set up his studio in the Meierhof of Kloster Pulgarn , and lives in Kefermarkt . In addition to paintings that deal with nature and landscape, he created a number of sgraffitis , u. a. on house fronts in Steyregg.

Works by him are u. a. in the art collection of the province of Upper Austria . The City of Linz, the Tyrolean Provincial Government , the Ministry of Education and the City of Salzburg's Graphic Collection have bought paintings and graphics from him.
