Hermann Nicolussi-Leck (born November 18, 1913 in Lusern ; † March 13, 1999 ) was a South Tyrolean politician.

biography

Nicolussi-Leck was born as one of eleven children of a farming family in the German-speaking island of Lusern in southern Trentino , when it still belonged to the County of Tyrol and thus to Austria-Hungary . He grew up at Kreithof in the municipality of Pfatten and then studied law. In World War II he fought on the German side, most recently as a lieutenant in the mountain troops . Nicolussi-Leck , who lives in Kaltern, worked as a lawyer, where he was involved in various processes in the BAS environment in the 1960s and served as Sepp Kerschbaumer's defense lawyer . In addition, he represented the interests of farmers at the Bozen Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the South Tyrolean Farmers' Union ; In 1965 he was one of the founders of the White Cross . Politically, he was active in the ranks of the South Tyrolean People's Party , initially at the municipal level in Kaltern from 1952. From 1956 to 1960 and from 1968 to 1973 he represented his party in the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol and thus at the same time in the South Tyrolean parliament . During his second legislative term, he served from 1970 to 1973 as vice-president of the state parliament and twice briefly of the regional council.
