Hermann Reck

Hermann Reck (born November 30, 1847 in Malleczewen , † 1931 in Lyck ) was a German landowner. In the Reichstag election in 1912 , he was elected to the Reichstag , to which he belonged until the end of the First World War .

Life

Reck attended the Royal Lyck High School and studied at the University of Jena . He learned to farm on estates in East Prussia and in 1873 took over the parental estate Malleczewen first on a lease and then as owner . He served in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71 with the Dragoon Regiment "Prince Albrecht of Prussia" (Litthauisches) No. 1 . He was also district deputy, member of the provincial parliament of the province of East Prussia , member of the district committee, the district council and the board of trustees of the Kreissparkasse. Since February 1, 1900 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , to which he belonged until 1913. He was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, IV class.

From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the Reichstag for the Reichstag electoral district Gumbinnen 6 and the German Conservative Party .

He was the father of Friedrich Reck-Malleczewen (1884–1945).
