The constituency of the German Reich.

The Reichstag constituency province of East Prussia - Gumbinnen 6th district (constituency 16; constituency Oletzko-Lyck-Johannisburg ) was an electoral district for the Reichstag elections in the German Empire and the North German Confederation from 1867 to 1918.

Constituency layout

The constituency included the Oletzko district , the Lyck district , the Johannisburg district and the Dietrichswalde rural community from the Sensburg district .

The BdL rejected Steinmann as a common candidate and agreed with the “moderate liberal forces” of the constituency to support the liberal candidate who had spoken out in favor of the military proposal. Replacement election 1910

After the death of Stolberg-Wernigerode, a replacement election took place on April 14, 1910. The BdL supported the conservative candidate, the liberal parties agreed on an NLP candidate who was also massively supported by the Hansa Association and the German Farmers Association. . There was only one ballot. The number of votes cast was 24,160, of which 91 were invalid. The turnout was 86.1%.
