The constituency of the German Reich.

The Reichstag constituency Province East Prussia - Administrative Region Königsberg 4 (constituency 4; constituency Fischhausen-Königsberg-Land ) was a constituency for the Reichstag elections in the German Empire and the North German Confederation from 1867 to 1918.

Constituency layout

The constituency comprised the district of Fischhausen and the district of Königsberg i. In addition, the constituency of the district of Labiau included the estate districts Julienhöhe and Willmanns and of the urban district Königsberg in Prussia the former rural communities Ponarth , Tragheinesdorf , Vorderhufen and the former estate districts Karolinenhof , Mühlenhof , Neue Bleiche , Rosenau , Löbenicht'scher Ziegelhof and parts of the communities Schönfließ'scher Ziegelhof , Lawsken , Kalthof and Mittelhufen and parts of the manor districts of Amalienau , Groß-Rathshof , Liep and Speichersdorf .

1898

After Dönhoff had voted in the Reichstag for the Russian trade treaties, he was advised to leave the conservative faction. Therefore, the Conservatives and the BdL nominated Dohna wound sheets in this election. Dönhoff was nominated by moderate conservatives and supporters of the DR. According to the provincial agreement of the two free-thinking parties, an FVP candidate was agreed. There were two ballots. The number of eligible voters was 22,805 and the number of votes cast in the first ballot 15,526, of which 139 were invalid. The turnout was 68.1%.

In contrast to the last election, the BdL supported the conservative candidate "for patriotic reasons", even though it was criticized for having left the BlD. There was only one ballot. 1907

BdL and conservatives agreed on a common candidate for the conservatives. The NLP and the FVP put up a joint FVP candidate who announced that he would not join any parliamentary group after the election. There was only one ballot.
