Alfred Siegfried (politician)

Alfred Siegfried (born November 11, 1820 in Karben , † June 25, 1896 in Pluttwinnen , Samland ) was a landowner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Siegfried attended high school in Braunsberg , and studied at the universities of Konigsberg and Berlin law . In 1844 and 1845 he worked as a trainee lawyer at the Berlin and Königsberg city courts. From 1846 he was a farmer and from 1850 owned the Pluttwinnen estate (today: Werschinino) in the Fischhausen district . In 1870 and 1871 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Prussia .

From 1874 to 1876 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Reichstag electoral district of Koenigsberg 4 (Fischhausen-Koenigsberg-Land) and the National Liberal Party . He resigned the mandate on January 9, 1876 for health reasons.
