Hermann Reinicke

Hermann Karl Reinicke (born March 18, 1870 in Erfurt ; † April 20, 1945 in Herzberg (Elster) ) was a German officer , most recently a general of the infantry and head of the Army Personnel Office (1923–1927) in the Weimar Republic .

Life

At the beginning of the First World War, from December 24, 1914 to December 22, 1917, Reinicke led the fusilier regiment "Prince Karl-Anton von Hohenzollern" (Hohenzollern's) No. 40 of the Prussian Army . On December 8, 1917, he was awarded the military order Pour le Mérite as a lieutenant colonel .

As a colonel, he commanded the 3rd (Prussian) Infantry Regiment of the Reichswehr from January 1, 1921 to March 31, 1922 .

From February 1, 1927 to September 30, 1929 he commanded the 5th Division . At the same time he was commander in military district V (Stuttgart) . 1929 arbitration Reinicke from active service under award of the character as General of Infantry .
