Hermann Stein (politician)

Hermann Stein (born June 18, 1919 in Klein-Linden ; † January 28, 1995 in Gießen ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life

Stein had a commercial education and was a soldier from 1938, later an officer in the Wehrmacht . He had been a member of the NSDAP since September 1, 1939 ( membership number 5.505.052).

From 1954 to 1974 he was managing director of Gießener Wohnbau AG. He also acted as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Volksbank Giessen .

After the Second World War , Stein became a member of the FDP and in 1952 was elected district chairman of the FDP in Giessen. From 1948 to 1968 he was a member of the city council of Giessen. He was a member of the Hessian state parliament from 1962 to 1978 and was chairman of the FDP parliamentary group there from 1970 to 1977. At times he held the office of Vice President of the State Parliament.
