Hermann Strampfer (* 12. April 1952 in Schwabisch Gmund , † 2. September 2015 ) was a German jurist and as an executive officer from 2006 until his death in the District President of the administrative district of Tübingen in Baden-Wuerttemberg .

Strampfer son of an innkeeper, studied Law and completed his traineeship in the city administration of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg as a department head at the District Office Ostalbkreis . In 1981, Strampfer trained in tax law at the Federal Finance Academy. From 1983 to 1984 he worked as a financial officer in the Baden-Württemberg state representation at the federal government in Bonn .

After several positions in the management area of ​​the Ministry of Finance and the State Bank of Baden-Württemberg (L-Bank), Strampfer moved to the State Ministry in 1996 , where he was head of the Budget Policy, Real Estate, Participations and New Control Instruments department until 2001. In this role, he particularly pushed the merger process of Landesgirokasse, Südwest-LB and the market section of L-Bank to form Landesbank Baden-Württemberg . On January 1, 2001 Strampfer became head of department in the State Ministry.

Since July 2006, the CDU member Strampfer has been the district president of the Tübingen district. Even after the formation of the green-red state government in 2011, he remained in office, but after being diagnosed with cancer in April 2015 he no longer held office. Strampfer died on September 2, 2015 as a result of the disease. He left a wife and two children.

Jörg Schmidt was appointed his successor .
