Hermann Walther (State Secretary)

Hermann Heinrich Walther (born May 10, 1874 in Speyer ; † May 3, 1941 in Karlsruhe ) was a German state secretary and manager .

Life

In 1919 Walter became a Privy Councilor and Ministerial Director in the newly established Reich Treasury and was appointed Undersecretary of State there in October 1919.

In 1920 he was the successor of the hiatus came Heinrich Goldkuhle to Secretary of State appointed in the Kingdom Treasury and held that role until the assumption of the duties of the Ministry by the Finance Ministry on April 1, 1923rd

In 1926 he became managing director of the East Elbe lignite syndicate alongside Max Zell and worked there until 1935.

Later he was not only a functionary of the organization Stahlhelm, Bund der Frontsoldaten , but also a member of the board of the German Committee, which under the heading "With Hindenburg for people and empire!" For the Papen government , for the German National People's Party (DNVP) and thus spoke out clearly against the NSDAP .

During his studies he became a member of the Academic-Musical Association Alt-Straßburg Freiburg (in the Association of Special Houses ).
