Hermann Zoll

Hermann Zoll (* 1643 in Kassel ; † February 7, 1725 in Marburg ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Hermann Zoll studied at the pedagogy of his hometown Kassel. He then enrolled in various law schools: in 1659 at the University in Rinteln , 1661 at the University of Franeker and then at the University of Duisburg . From 1664 he was a lecturer at the University of Marburg , where - after receiving his doctorate in 1666 from the University of Rinteln as a doctor of both rights ( Dr. iuris utriusque ) - in 1674 as a full professor of the Institutions and soon afterwards as a lawyer and in 1679 as a professor of canon law was appointed. In 1686 he was promoted to professor primarius and as such professor Codicis et Feudalis . In 1700 he was appointed to the government council and 14 years later to the senior council at the head of the princely Rinteln government, making him head of Rinteln. He died very old at the age of 82 on February 7, 1725 in Marburg.
Zoll wrote numerous programs, disputations and tracts such as “De exceptione non numeratae pecuniae” and “Purchase does not cancel Miethe” , through which he got into a violent literary feud with his colleague Zaunschliffer in Marburg .
