Hernaldo Pinto Farias

Hernaldo Pinto Farias SSS (born June 24, 1964 in Vitória da Conquista , Bahia , Brazil ) is a Brazilian religious and appointed Roman Catholic Bishop of Bonfim .

Life

Hernaldo Pinto Farias joined the religious community of the Eucharist and studied theology at the Pontifícia Faculdade de Teologia Nossa Senhora da Assunção in São Paulo, which awarded him a licentiate in dogmatics . He made perpetual profession on January 25, 1988 . He received on 18 July 1992, the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 1996 he was professor at the Centro de Liturgia Dom Clemente Isnard in São Paulo, where he taught liturgical science and Christian art . After a further post-graduate studies , he was in 2012 at the Pontifical Athenaeum of Saint Anselm in Rome with a liturgy scientific dissertation on the liturgical reform in Brazil for Doctor of theology doctorate.

On July 17, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Bonfim.
