Herojske ( Ukrainian Геройське ; Russian Геройское Geroiskoje ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kherson with 670 inhabitants.
The village, founded in 1735 by the Zaporozhian Cossacks , was called Prohnoji (Прогної) until 1963 . Herojske is the only village in the district council of the same name within the Hola Prystan district . The village is on the border with Mykolaiv Oblast on the Kinburn Peninsula on the south bank of the Dnieper Bug Liman 11 km east of Vasylivka and 55 km west of the district center of Hola Prystan .
