Heroldshof is a district of the town of Ranis in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

The hamlet of Heroldshof is located south of Ranis on the local road to Wilhelmsdorf (Saale) .

history
Heroldshof was first mentioned in a document on January 29, 1571. The hamlet was once an estate for the Lords of Ranis. After the Second World War , the estate was demolished and the land and living inventory were transferred to war-related resettlers and poor farmers. But then these farmers also went the East German route to the AIV . After the reunification they reoriented themselves. Today there is a part of the agricultural cooperative in Heroldshof. There are also some houses for the shareholders.
