The coat of arms of the community shows Justitia with the scales, from which one can conclude that Wilhelmsdorf had its own jurisdiction. According to ancient traditions, the place was a mining village until the 17th century, as can be seen from the old tunnels and mountain holes. Wilhelmsdorf belonged to the electoral office of Arnshaugk until 1815 and after its assignment, decided at the Congress of Vienna , came to the Prussian district of Ziegenrück , to which the place belonged until 1945.
