Neundorf (near Schleiz) is a municipality in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia . The district Pahnstangen belongs to the place .
geography
Neundorf and Pahnstangen can be reached via the local roads L 2360 and L1103. The districts of the places lie on a flat and undulating plateau of the southeast Thuringian slate mountains . To the east, the area is bounded by the federal motorway 9 from Munich to Berlin . To the west there are two heights with forest.
geology
This plateau also has soils with a high proportion of fine earth and humus content . These are prerequisites for stable yields.

history
The first documented registration of the place as Visbach was found around 1071. Neundorf (first mentioned in 1310) was built on the site of the former town of Visbach, whose huts around the lower village pond, according to Richard Mendner, may have fallen victim to a fire. The hall church, which is today mainly Baroque , goes back to a Gothic church from the 17th century. The 700th anniversary of the town took place in 2010.
